Cruising for a Bruising

The easily bruised ego is nothing more. One can think themselves rich. But, if nothing else matters to him, inside he will always be poor.

Though he may have millions in the bank, the money-obsessed will re-create poverty in the end, as he attempts to quash others while stepping on them in clamoring toward the top. Even people with some capability will ultimately become less than they could have.

In this life, we are given three things: our physical, emotional/mental and spiritual bodies. If we ignore the care of the last two, we will be left with only the physical and the tasks which it creates for it’s survival.

Our focus is narrowed and enjoyment, commitment, even the ability to respond are diminished. This shallow focus can create an overabundance of physical attention, leading to illness, money problems, legal issues, difficulty relating to others, loneliness, lack of compassion, selfishness, desperation.

In such situations, we lose our soul, or emotional intelligence. The only result can be a figurative, swift kick in the rear, to turn things around.

With scales tipped toward the physical, such a man must fall. He could lose everything he has by believing only in the Money God.
