Prompt #52: Diaries or Journals
Writing down your thoughts can be a good way of keeping track of events, venting about stresses, and helping sort your feelings about something. For some, keeping a diary or journal has been a lifelong activity while others might have started later in life. Still others may never have kept one for a variety of reasons. With that in mind:
Do you keep a journal? If so, how long have you been writing in one? Do you use a paper journal or an online one? If you’ve kept one, do you revisit entries? Where did you get the idea for starting a journal? Has keeping one been helpful to you? If so, how? Is your journal private or do you mind if others read it? If you don’t keep a journal, why not? Did you keep a journal early in life but give it up later on? If so, why? Did you start keeping a journal late in life? If so, what prompted you to do so?
Let us know about your experiences with filling a diary or journal throughout your life.
- a kicker is text above the title. To create a kicker, type the kicker text in the title field, then highlight the text and select the small T icon. Hit ‘enter’, type out your title, highlight your title text, and select the large T icon. This will allow for a kicker, title, and subtitle for your story.
