Prompt #48: Another New Year
We’ve started a lot of new years over our lifetimes. Some may have been memorable, others forgettable. A new year can be a good time to look back and see if our goals were met or if our lives followed a preferred trajectory. This can also be a time of looking forward to what we’d like the upcoming year to contain. For some, a new year is merely the flip of a calendar page and nothing more. With that in mind:
Do you celebrate New Year’s Day or Eve? If so, how? Do you make resolutions for the new year? Why or why not? How long does it take for you to be able to automatically write the correct year on documents? What has been your most memorable year, good or bad? Has your attitude about New Year’s Day changed as you’ve aged? If so, how? Do you set time aside to reflect on the previous year?
Let us know about your experiences and help us all ring in a new year.
