Prompt #44: Staying Active
Physical activity can help us improve our quality of life and sense of well-being. As we age, we may need to modify our activity levels to avoid injury or to enhance our overall health. For some, the reduction in physical abilities could be frustrating, while for others, increased activity might be a welcome addition. With that in mind:
Have you increased or decreased your physical activity over the years? Why? Was the adjustment difficult? Do you have a specific exercise routine or a more generalized idea of staying active? Have you noticed any rewards for increasing or decreasing your activity levels? If so, what are they? Did you have to give up a beloved activity? Have you found a new activity to be more enjoyable than you first thought?
Let us know about your experiences and help us all stay limber.
