Prompt #35: Traveling as an Older Person
Whether we travel by airplane, ship, car, or train, many of us indulge in vacations fairly regularly. As we get older, traveling can be more complicated. Sometimes we have to work around issues like mobility, health, and energy levels. For others, the freedom of retirement has allowed for more travel. With that in mind:
Do you travel more or less now that you’re older? If you travel less, do you miss it or are you happy to leave it behind? Did/do you prefer going somewhere far away or keeping close to home? Have you traveled a lot during your life, or taken only a few major trips? What was your favourite trip? Would you go there again? What was your worst trip, and why was it the worst? Now that you’re older, what have you had to change about traveling? How did you feel about those changes?
Let us know how your experiences with traveling has changed over your lifetime.
