Critters of Montana and Glacier National Park

Here are some of the animals we saw at Glacier National Park in Montana recently.

There are thousands of tourists and the glaciers are melting fast, but nature seems to be holding its own. Still lots of wildlife to see if you are patient.

Deer are pretty common everywhere, including Montana.
Bighorn sheep are more rare, and this one took a lot of waiting to see.
Mountain goats were not too afraid of humans on the trail. I think some of them get fed by tourists.
Speaking of getting fed. This chipmunk hasn’t missed many meals. He was not at all shy about checking out my backpack either.
This is what a chipmunk looks like, who find his own food in the woods.
This columbian squirrel also looks like he has been getting help from tourists.
This was further south, where the Antelope play, in southern Montana
A black bear with two cubs, at a distance of course.
A few more antelope watching traffic go down the highway.
Time for lunch.
And the buffalo still roam.

If you like these pictures, give a few beats. Or send this along to friends. Thanks.
