Write 10X as Many Medium Stories Simply by Going out and Living More
Never run out of meaningful content ever again.

If at some point, you run out of things to write about, it could be a sign that you aren’t living enough.
I have been blessed with a lot of privileges and opportunities growing up. I played three sports at any point in childhood, moved to Germany at twelve, and found my true passion for attending music festivals and writing.
Thanks to my parents and taking chances on opportunities like joining the Army, I have a ton of experiences I can write about.
When I hit a wall, which I feel like is far away, I will know.
I need to start living.
Living Gives Us More to Write About
Some people are fiction writers, and as long as their imagination is intact, they can write stories forever.
For those of us who write content based self-help or tips in multiple fields, we need to experience a lot to be competent writers.
Being a subject matter expert takes lots of learning and living. I have yet to write about a topic that I’m unsure of because most of them are factual and based on personal experiences.
If you’re not a guitar player but always wanted to learn — you can learn to play guitar for thirty days straight and write about your findings.
Living doesn’t mean we need to flee the country and live abroad for a year to write one story. It would be thrilling to read, but you don’t have to go to extremes.
To Live an Extraordinary Life, One Must Do Extraordinary Things
The life we always wanted isn’t going to come to us by merely working the 9–5 and doing things 99% other people do. It’s the free-time hours that matter.
I’m talking about the after-hours when everyone’s relaxing and taking it easy.
Studying a new subject, going out to meet new people, and traveling to different places all have the power to stir the pot of content we can all create.
Seek discomfort.
When we’re comfortable, we aren’t growing. It’s the moments of worry or discomfort that teach the most significant lessons in life.
Final Thoughts
Many of my favorite writers, such as Tom Kuegler and Ryan Fan, are always in motion.
They don’t sit in one place and live a simple life. They are adventurous and have lots of experiences. What sets them apart from other people who live exciting lives is that they know how to tell a story.
The stories some of the best writers provide context from their personal experiences and relate it to real-world, practical life lessons.
Your stories are meant to be shared.
As long as you’re living, you’re creating more memories and experiences to use as future content.
Never stop living.
