Covid19 Periods — Steps to Make You Feel Better

This Covid19 pandemic has made a drastic change in everyone’s lifestyle. A continuous lockdown period has made you stay home and of course made you lazier, mentally & physically unhealthy. Are you among one them who faced the same? Isn’t being stupid asking you all, actually I am one of them.

So, how can you keep yourself mentally and physically healthy?

In this article, I will share some ideas and tips that will help you to get the desired results.

1. Walk as much as you can

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.

Yes, you heard me right. Walking can be a good medicine that can reduce risk tied to your inactive lifestyle. Add in your daily routine, a morning and evening walk of minimum 15000 steps. Sound too much right! But this important, walk around your home, terrace, garden and lawn.

2. Stay Active Throughout Day

Even you added a daily walk in your routine. It is important to make your body active while you are busy with your office work. Keep a watch on your hourly time or just set an alarm of an hour. Take a short break, change your sitting position or replace withstanding. Walk for a minute, play with kids or pets and spend time playing indoor games. This healthy idea will keep you super active.

3. Stay Tuned with Loved Ones

I know, this period has kept you away from friends & families. You miss your lunch break and evening tea, having quality time with your best buddies. No worries, if you can’t meet, at least you can have virtual meet through phone calls, video calls and instant messages. These small activities can lift your mood and will make you feel happy.

4. Limit Yourself On Social Media

Are you feeling more anxious and scared after reading news on social media? It’s a big alarming situation where you need to understand certain things. Set a time limit to browse social platforms. Only follow and read news from trusted platforms. You can also remove those apps after you are done and reinstall when you need them.

5. Relax Your Mind

Meditation is not spacing-out or running away. In fact, it is being totally honest with ourselves.

To reduce the anxiety during this COVID period. It is very important to relax your mind and body. This can be done by taking a long shower, take an evening tea, meditation, light scented candle and play soft music. Use fragrances spray for the smoother environment.

6. Don’t Hesitate to Ask & Serve

I know, you are afraid to visit your local market for household shopping like grocery and vegetables. Don’t fear to ask for help from others, use online grocery portals and Facebook group too. Always keep a good warm heart to help others as well. During this emergency crisis, some people are unable to feed themselves and even strays animals that are unable to find food. We can at least feed some of them. This activity will bless you and give you inner bliss.

7. Try Something New

So, if you love cooking or even you haven’t tried before. What if you can help your wife or family members in cooking? This small approach can be a big help for them and even it will lift your mood. As you know, good food is a route to good mood so try this for sure.

8. Set meaningful Goals

Goals are not only absolutely necessary to motivate us. They are essential to really keep us alive.

Situations are not like before. So, setting up your daily, weekly or monthly goal, need to take a check. You don’t have easy access to life and things that help to achieve them. Be kind to yourself and set goals that can be achievable and work on them accordingly.

9. Be Good to Yourself

This crisis period may not be a productive season for you. You don’t have to prepare fancy recipes, start new projects or new activities. Be grateful and focus on what is important for you. Pursue them and keep yourself healthy.
