Poets still write in couplets, sometimes rhyming, sometimes unrhymed. Predictable, yes, or maybe mysterious, as mouthed by the pugilist who said he
“floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee.”
Sailing Off In Dream
In peaceful sleep, a dream of mine so often gleams, Where poems weave stars in nets of moonlight’s beams. A vision world with no beginning nor end, It would be right if you were to contend That dreams are stripped of earthly desire Yet voiced aloud by the night dream crier. As long as I can sleep and mind can dream I nightly grasp this stellar stream.
