You’ve heard it said that you are the sum of the five people you see the most. You’ve also heard that friends are the family that you get to choose.

I heard the quote (above) once and it never left me.

But before you go looking for a true friend and even if you are lucky enough to have one already, let me flip the script.

Could you be that friend that is closer than family?

Could you be the friend who lifts the average of your group? Could you be there even when the walls are falling down and the world is on fire? Could you give without expectation or regret?

If you can do this you can create something more valuable than any substance on earth.
