Could You Become Forever Young?
Let’s be courageous, be brave, be free
I have been sharing through my articles the desire to bring more peace into this world — particularly at this time.
Peace found through the power of love. Love is the highest force, the greatest power. It’s not woo woo, it’s energy.
Love creates everything…love puts us in our knowing — fear puts us in doubt.
I’ve also shared about women tapping into their inner power and stepping forward into who they are meant to become. Through the power of love.
As we step forward, it is to join forces with men and work together. It’s not about one gender being better than the other as each has strengths and weaknesses.
It’s about equality — we as equals.
What I have been sharing speaks to all women, even those in their teens. At every age, women need to step forward into their power. That said, my focus is really on the older women. I have to admit, I am not sure how I feel about that term…
…I could be considered older, depending on the age of who is looking at me. Yet, I don’t feel older. I feel young. Maybe I get that from my mother, who in her 80’s is — forever 25.
I actually think back to when I turned 25. At that time, the marketing was directed that by age 25 there were already signs of aging. A leader in the cosmetic world started marketing some anti-aging makeup.
The marketing towards women throughout history has not been kind. We are made to feel washed up. The best years have passed. It’s all downhill as we are now over the hill.
Back in our day, we couldn’t be thin enough, blonde enough, tall enough. Big smiles and small noses were all in. And you were out if you didn’t fit the bill — yet how many of us did?
And though it appears that the standard of beauty has changed, many of us still hold the not enough standard.
My intention is to change that!
I’m not looking to diminish the younger women out there, but as with the men, bring equality between our generations — and through the power of love. We can be just as strong and vibrant now as we were back then.
It’s time to start reprogramming our way of thinking. And that is possible through the science of neuroplasticity. At any age, we can rewire our brains.
We can stop thinking those negative, limiting beliefs.
Step out of the fear of poor health, frailty, financial issues, and the loneliness that many in the upper age group may feel.
We are trained to feel this way — and we have accepted it.
Step into abundance — of money, health, inner power, and connection.
We need to retrain our brains, which can be done through affirmations and adopting a positive outlook. Can we accept that?!
Affirmations are powerful, they are actually commands. They rewire our brains and redirect our energy from lower vibrations that stem from fear into higher vibrations that come from love.
We need to come from a place of self-love and worth as I shared in a previous article. In our generation, so many of us have been taught to be second class citizens, put everyone and everything first.
Now is the time for MeFirst.
It’s time to step into our wisdom and stop caring about what others think (it’s none of our business anyway). Stop carrying those burdens that we once did. Move past people-pleasing and falling for any peer pressure.
Now is the time to become who you are now meant to be.
In the 1900’s life for many was over by age 47. Now at 47 many of us are just getting started!
There are many phenomenal ladies 50+ that are living life to the fullest. Two that come to mind who are dear mentors of mine — Suzanne Somers and the late Louise Hay.
Both beautiful role models, inside and out of how to grow older and live an ageless life.
If we want to age successfully, then we must make a conscious choice to do so. The added years are a blank slate — what we write on them will make all the difference… Louise Hay
What do YOU want to write?
There was a study done about 20 years ago at a university about the aging process. The researchers discovered that whatever age a person believes to be middle age, at that time the body begins the aging process.
Our bodies accept whatever our minds decide…
What do YOU want to decide?
We are living longer — and we can live fuller lives:
- In 1960 there were 3,500 centenarians
- In 1995 there were 54,000
- In 2018 there were 93,000
With this in mind, it’s time to stop allowing the numbers that correspond with the years we have been on the planet to dictate how we should feel and behave.
And how we should live — in our younger days, many of us lived in fear — can we now move into living in confidence?
- Yes, our bodies might not be as firm, may have some extra pounds, but many of us brought life into this world.
- Yes, our faces have wrinkles, think of it as the smiles and laughter of good times along with the challenges we faced as we rise above.
- Yes, we are wearing readers, but now let us see with a NEW vision.
I’ve heard people say that they wish they were 20 with the wisdom of today. Though we can’t physically reverse, we can mentally rewire.
Which reminds me of a study that was done with a group of men in their 80’s. They were brought together and spent time living as they did when they were younger. The TV shows, clothes, music, food, etc. Put in that environment, they started acting younger.
What can you do with your environment that can help the process of you growing …younger?
I started this article with the mention of peace. And to me feeling more vibrant and youthful certainly brings more peace into our lives.
If you are someone who has health issues, there are many conditions like diabetes and heart disease that can be reversed with a change in diet, and in a change in how stress is processed.
Don’t let this overwhelm you. It might seem like a lot to take in or do. To learn and make changes to what you already know and how you live your life.
My intention is to inform and open you to the possibility of something more.
Change is a process and starts with baby steps. I have made changes over my life to live from a healthier place — and I look to share what I’ve done and what I continue to do.
I look to bring more peace, freedom, love and joy into this time of life.
Marianne Williamson shared, “Your playing small does not serve the world”.
We need leadership for a better world. Conscious leadership. I’m not talking about politics. I’m talking about us serving as leaders in our everyday life, influencing those around us. Bringing in more peace, more love.
I’ve recently completed a short eBook on how to obtain Peace From Within. If you would like to explore ways of handling stress in these challenging times, I invite you to grab a complimentary copy at this link: https://url.lv/gAWoO4Of
