Could ‘Entrepreneurial Outsourcing’ Be Your Perfect Lazy Way To Make a Great Second Income From Home?

(HINT:- It doesn’t have to be YOU that does the work)!

Entrepreneurial outsourcing is an excellent way to make money from home these days, either online or offline, by actively seeking out potential ‘customers’ to match with professionals, or by making use of opportunities that just arise in everyday life.

For instance, I may hear a conversation in the pub where someone mentions that they need their house painted. I might then suggest that I send ‘my guy’ around to look at the job.

‘My guy’ will be a professional painter and decorator who I have approached and told that I sometimes have painting jobs that I can’t handle and so I send in an outsourced painter to do the job at a price that we have agreed, but it will be me that invoices the client.

That way, the buyer gets his house painted, the painter gets paid for his work (by me) and I take a nice mark-up out of the middle.

Thanks to the magic of the internet though, it is now easier than ever to be that bridge between client and business. By bringing these two elements together you stand to make some significant profit for very little work.

To put it simply, businesses outsource because it can reduce their costs, it saves them time and it can lead to increased productivity because they have more time to focus on other areas of their business.

The internet provides a gateway for entrepreneurial outsourcers to tap into an ever-deepening pool of freelancers and connect them with companies… For a price, naturally — after all this is a side income, not a charity.

For example, Company A is willing to pay $xxx for a particular service they are not able, or willing, to do themselves. The entrepreneurial outsourcer finds Supplier/Freelancer B and offers $xx for their particular talents.

The difference between the figures can vary, but the important thing to remember is that the outsourcer profits. In fact, of the amount earned by the entrepreneurial outsourcer, a substantial amount of it is pure profit. There has been no outlay apart from a small amount of time spent finding the Mr/Mrs B.

Why exactly do businesses outsource, and what’s in it for you?

Aside from the point made above, about a lack of skill or willingness, businesses will outsource for one other key reason: So that they can scale their business and grow.

Another key benefit is that because of the global marketplace, outsourcing certain tasks to somebody in another country can be as much as 3 times cheaper than getting somebody more local. It’s exactly for this reason that so much technology production is outsourced to places like China, although on a much larger scale.

It can also be a lot cheaper than getting a company to do it for you — a freelancer or fledgling start-up has much lower overheads.

If a given company has deep pockets then reaching out to an agency that will charge upwards of 5 figures a month could be right for them.

Most small to medium businesses don’t throw money away like that though, and that is the usual ‘target’ for the entrepreneurial outsourcer looking to make money from home.

Companies will also have, through the entrepreneurial outsourcer, access to a much wider range of talent — they can hire a web designer from India, a writer from Australia, a programmer from Russia… If they have the skill and they deliver on time, then why not go that route?

What kinds of jobs can be outsourced for a side income?

Excellent question and the answer is almost anything. This type of outsourcing is not really suited to physical products because there are too many variables — there are a lot of things that could go wrong and in an ideal situation you want to make that connection, email the finished ‘product’ and leave. What you don’t want is to be bogged down in admin — the whole idea of a side income is that you don’t spend a lot of time on it.

With that in mind, here are just a few of the different types of tasks that you could easily outsource for a nice profit:

· Content writing

· Translation services

· Web design

· Graphic design

· E-book design/writing

· Voice-overs

· Video production

This list is in no way exhaustive, but do you have the time to read ‘all’ of them? Didn’t think so.

Essentially if a task can be emailed, or otherwise done remotely, then you can outsource on behalf of another company or individual.

It is a really great way to earn a second income and perfect to make a nice living working from home.

Really, it’s like being the general of the army rather than the soldier in the trenches, because it’s not you that does the actual work.
