A unique culture has its own concepts, constructs, thinking and its own reality.
Modernization and Standardization.
With the tsunamis of iPhones what is being lost is not noticed.
Gone. Young people moving to cities. Old people dying out. New technology is replacing old agriculture, food, dress, music and art. Many cultures and languages are being wiped out.
In Danger.
Languages. In the United States alone, Ethnologue lists 245 indigenous languages with 65 already extinct and 75 near extinction.
Old cultural traditions: traditional weaving in Laos, ama diving in Japan, glass-blowing in Romania, stilt fishing of Sri Lanka, Kalinga’s tattoos, India’s Agra Gharana and fika in Sweden are in danger.
Groups could be extinct: the Akuntsu tribe in Brazil, the Jarawa tribe in the Andaman Islands, India, the Livonians in Latvia, the Nukak tribe in Colombia are all indigenous peoples whose extinction is virtually inevitable.
With the onslaught of internet emoji chats, lots of things are endangered.

Much easier for a computer to be precise and to remember rules. Possibility for anyone online to converse in endangered languages with the AI or even learn languages of the past.
Music. Recordings of old folk songs and hymns. Generative AI could be used to create more songs and play music in the same style.
Culture. Housing of old with traditional food and styles of cooking. Fashion, clothing and dress based on weather. Art images and sketches could be created using generative AI. Artifacts and crafts of old could be recreated by 3D printing.
A different culture can be more fascinating than a theme park or nature resort.

Activity, passions, livelihood and dynamics could be kept alive.
People. Leaders of old, their achievements in the past and the progress that was made. People could chat with the digital representation of these characters.
Lifestyle. Stories told through literature. Major events and festivals celebrated. Locations throughout history and geography. Religious values and belief systems. Customs and traditions. Could be made into Avatars and real estate in the Metaverse. Movies of festivals or historical events.
Technology. Level of technology reached and powerful tools that were valued. Objects made with arts and crafts. Metaverse landscape domains and real estate for old artifacts.

Interactive. Languages and cultural traditions could all be stored in AI for anyone to ask questions or even learn. Maybe text to video from old literature. 3D virtual village in the Metaverse with generative music and visuals. Artifacts from 3D printing. 3D re-enactments of dramas. Valuable and priceless.
Materials. A lot of material will be used for training the AI. There are many open source AI projects. Videos could be stored on YouTube. Music could be stored on Spotify. Meta has the Metaverse. Images, text and literature could be stored on Medium !
Conferences. This would be a good setting for an online virtual convention. Events could be organized for various festivities during the calendar year. Visiting a theme park with a diversity of indigenous cultures and languages could be as exciting as contact with a new civilization on Star Trek !
Let children and adults experience the joy and beauty of old culture !

Comparison and interaction with other cultures through the ages. Looking at overall history of technology, wars, townships and migrations of humanity while paying attention to the contributions of forgotten cultures and acknowledge achievements. Explain the impact of local cultures on local history or vice versa.
Education. A lot of education is done on the computer or internet based. Access could be given to students to learn about lost cultures and languages and experience life in the Metaverse. Rather than textbooks.
Research. A lot of this material could also be useful for future research with AI help.
