Corporate Greed
If the Earth could speak, would we listen? Or simply hold onto that which glistens?
Oil the car, grease the wheels, the trader closes many deals. Oil the car, spark the heat, keep the west nice and neat. Oil the car, feed the gas, leave the world on its ass. Oil the car, make the plastic, the state of the world has become so drastic. Oil the car, use the fuel, always under somebody’s rule. Oil the car, fill the truck, caused is another ruck. Oil the car, lube it up, drink from the plastic cup. Oil the car, take it all, who cares if others fall. Oil the car at all costs, because without it we would be lost.
The Earth’s resources should be pooled, but those at the top have us fooled. The Earth’s resources should be shared, easy to do if only we cared. The Earth’s resources could be halved, but caring for others seems so daft. The Earth’s resources start to bleed, this will continue until they’re freed. The Earth’s resources need not be hoarded, the story of greed is so sordid. The Earth’s resources are there for all, corporate greed needs to fall.
Corporate greed has us fooled, the world’s resources unfairly ruled. Corporate greed, a broken tool, has us drilling for more fuel. Corporate greed, an honest stealing, creating so much tethered feeling. Corporate greed masks the need, Afghanistan can not be freed. Corporate greed, fuels the hate, brings about so much debate. Corporate greed and corporate lies matter not if freedom dies. Corporate greed and corporate dealings, to what you can earn there are no ceilings. Corporate greed and tortured souls matter not of their goals. Corporate greed and much destruction, matter not how they function. Corporate greed and so much more, it has to be stopped of that I’m sure.
The world has fallen to its knees, profits are the things we seize. The world has bled in many ways, greed the only thing that pays. The world has lost its very heart, every person playing their part. The world has come under attack, created by its impending lack. The world has given love away, to be honest, it does not pay. The world is falling day by day, as each other, we do betray. The world is screaming in defeat, as for its resources we will beat. The world is asking to be heard, man’s vision has become so blurred. The world is shouting out in love, to reconnect with God above. The world is desperate for change, the world that we live in is so strange. The world is asking to be noticed, so many articles that are posted. The world is asking for our help, no longer feed into corporate wealth. The world is asking for our hand, corporate greed should be banned. The world is asking us to stand, to share the wealth of our land. The world is asking us to hear, no longer live in corporate fear. The world is ready for this change, release it from the corporate chains.
