The Dutch cycling event ‘Amstel Gold Race’ will be held on Saturday the 10th of October. The date is on the temporary list of 2020. The classic race is in Limburg every year. If it will be held on the 10th of October, it will be at the same time as the Giro d’Italia. In the first place, The Amstel Gold Race was on the 19th of April this year. Because of the pandemic, the race could take place.

The beds on the IC’s must be higher on structural bases in The Netherlands. That says IC head of the Amphia Hospital in Breda, Merijn Kant. The number of patients on the IC’s are much less than before, but on structural bases the IC beds must be more. According to Kant, more serious investments are needed in the long term and as says as possible people needed to be educated to be working in hospitals and IC’s. He also expect still people that need to be treated from the Coronavirus the next years.

Mayor of The Hague ended an anti lockdown demonstration against the Coronavirus measurements. According to the borough, the demonstrators didn’t keep onto the rules. The police ran in dozen of people. There were about 150–200 people participating in the demonstration. This was an action from someone who asked on social media people to join this demonstration. This demonstration was not permitted by the government of The Hague. But the government of The Hague still permitted this demonstration on Koekamp, next to Malieveld, only if the demonstrators could keep the 1,5 meter distance.

Prime Minister will say something in a new press conference on the 6th of May. Hairdressers hope they are allowed to do their job again. That says the spokesman of the Hairdressers organisation ANKO. The organisation asked for a present of a protocol with the government. The plans are looking similar of the German colleagues: “In Germany the hairdressers itself uses mouth masks and the client a handmade mouth mask. That works very good.”, Says the spokesman. He also says that the some hairdressers are having liquid problems.

The Joint Health Centre are not ready for more contact research of people with Coronavirus. The 24 regions have not more capacity to do more contact research other than primary school, daycares and special education opening next week. That says the poll of the Dutch national broadcasting station NOS. Most regions have plans to expand the their capacity, but they don’t know what to expect. These plans are the must number one for relaxing the Coronavirus rules, according the Outbreak Management Team (OMT).

Camping in the North-Holland village Tuitjenhorn says they want reopening the toilet buildings on their camping ground. They also want clarity very fast about reopening the toiling buildings. The toilet buildings are closed as of the Coronavirus measurements. In May holidays it is very busy. Now the are a few people on the camping. “Why should clothing stores, supermarkets and hardware stores be open, while the much less crowded sanitary buildings must remain closed?” Wrote camping owner Peter Vriend in an open letter to Prime Minister Rutte and Mayor Marjan van Kampen. “If the government does not explain it to us, we will open our sanitary buildings on Monday after the May holiday to a limited extent,” says Vriend at NH Nieuws. According to him, this can be done in a responsible manner. For example, there is an empty cubicle between each toilet and shower cubicle and disinfectants are located at the entrances to the toilet blocks.
