Corona and Renaissance!

The Coronic Renaissance has been under discussion…

Strange!

We want change without bringing any change in ourselves! Pity, isn’t it!

People are saying that the world will not be the same after Corona ends.

The following is being hoped:

‘This time man will learn a lot'

‘Man will be more vigilant towards environment’

‘Health and Education will be focused more than Defence'

‘Disputes will be settled among confronting nations'

‘Discrimination of all types will be ended forever’

Transgenders will never face gender biasness'

‘People will use bicycles instead of motor vehicles'

‘There will be no more child abuse anywhere’

‘Technology will bring no harm to humanity'

‘Mother nature will be respected’

‘Women will not be maltreated’

‘The diversity within any population will be revered'

‘Natural resources will never be wasted rather conserved:

‘Labourers will be paid reasonably’

‘Unions will end black mailings'

etc.etc……

So, we expect another Renaissance to be brought out by Corona.

Optimism, Illusion, Delusion, Day Dreaming, Repentance, what is it?

The people of Renaissance-era (roughly from 14th century to 17th century) realized their shortcomings. They knew they were way behind in the cultural, social, psychological, educational, economical, political, judicial, medical and geographical fields and they had to sacrifice a lot to come out of their lasting traumas. Eventually, they liberated themselves from the snarls of seen and unseen psychological barriers.

On the other hand, we consider ourselves too accomplished to bear any change further. We know all. We are a complete package. We need not learn anything new. We are technologically advanced, so socially fully developed.

How can such a self complacent creature be taught Renaissance? Place your right hand on your chest and try to testify this argument. You will feel simple hollowness. Emergence of Technology has made ‘social animal ’ an individualist. How can man of today think collectively?

I request if someone please name a city which will emerge like ‘Florence of Italy’. Can someone trace me ‘a Medici family ’ who will supervise art and literature? I am also in search of somebody who will become a Shakespeare after the end of Corona. Tell me the way where can I find Erasmus, Michaelangelo, Dante and a noble soul like Galileo?

Regretfully, the hunter is ready. We are just waiting for the earliest departure of Corona. We all are ready to pounce upon the mother nature once again. We want to restart our dishonest dealings with one another. We are refreshing ourselves to plot in a more subtle way to distort personality of others. We want this Corona end and regain our evils to destroy the careers of others hypocritically. We want satisfaction of our egos, our own selves.

Optimism is fine but fallacy must be avoided. Repentance to be sought for the personal refinement but illusions must be avoided at all costs. We have seen very positive and noble efforts from many people these Corona days. But all these efforts are individual efforts and even such a display of selflessness cannot lay the foundation of Renaissance, Humanism in any shape, more or less, will remain an integral part of a human society but Renaissance was another thing.

It was a re-birth of human soul that led humanity to the path of enlightenment. This enlightenment was not a result of a sudden viral outbreak. Centuries long efforts, sacrifices, hardships, revolutions, uprisings, diseases, political turmoils, disputes, inventions, discoveries and behavioural alterations brought Renaissance. If we just rest upon a natural calamity like Corona to Coronate us, its just a fallacy, an intentional fallacy!
