#Cornerstore Caroline and Caroline Bryant both lied because they hate black people

Emmett Till was 14; the latest victim of false allegations is 9.

If you haven’t heard about #Cornerstore Caroline yet, I’ll sum it up. It’s a familiar tale. She lied about a young black boy because she hates black folks. This woman claimed a 9-year-old boy grabbed her ass. Thankfully, the video showed she lied, but not before she went off on the boy’s mother as the little boy sobbed.

It’s 2018. It may as well be 1950 the way white people still treat. Why does this keep happening? When I read this article, I flashed back to Emmett Till, the 14-year-old black boy who was lynched because a white woman named Carolyn Bryant lied to her husband, saying Emmett spoke to her in an improper way. In a later interview, she admitted she lied.

This little boy could have met the same fate as Emmett had this happened in a more remote area with some racist white people milling around. We’ve all seen those photos of them smiling as we swing from a tree. It would be nothing new.

Every day it’s something else. Today I cried for this boy. He’s 9, and if he wasn’t aware of racism before, he’s been brutally awakened by a privileged racist white woman. He can’t just be a little boy. Now he has to be a little black boy, which means that while he’s still a child, white people see him as a black man set on ravaging any white woman he sees.

See, this is why I say white women are dangerous. This little boy could have been murdered had she been around the right people. And I doubt she would have cared. Every day I have less hope for this country. I don’t see white people even trying to do better. I just see my people continuing to suffer.
