What is a forever funnel?

How do I create a forever funnel?

How do I get year-round sales in my sleep?

If you catch yourself wondering how you can make passive income online, then this may be the article for you.

If you’re wanting to learn more of the step by steps and mechanics on how to do this, please fill out this interest form. This will help me decide whether it’s worth pursuing creating a course on this (being completely transparent ;).

Okay, there may be two types of individuals reading this article:

  1. The beginner entrepreneur who wants to learn how to create a funnel for their business but doesn’t know how to.
  2. The established entrepreneur has some experience with funnels but doesn’t know how to get year-round sales from one yet.

Whatever your position, I am certain that you can get value from this article. Before we get started, I want to thank Patrick OConnell and Avigail Halberg for sharing their interest in the creation of this article.

Okay, before we get started, we need to know what a funnel is:

https://sproutsocial.com/insights/social-media-marketing-funnel/

A funnel is essentially exactly what it looks like. It takes an audience member through a series of steps in order to get to one desired outcome, usually enticing that member to purchase a product/offer at the last step.

Why are funnels beneficial to your business?

In short, they allow you to filter your audience from the buyers to the patient waiters. More than likely, the individuals who buy products from funnels are the immediate “buyers”. The ones that don’t need a little more time, knowledge, and research (don’t worry, with the forever funnel you can cater to both).

How does a Forever Funnel come into play?

A Forever Funnel allows you to always give value to your audience and sell to them at the same time.

A Forever Funnel never stops, meaning that you will continue to be in contact with them until they decide they want to unsubscribe from your email list.

Hold up, email list?

Yes, if you’re really new to the world of digital marketing, an email list is exactly what it sounds like — a list of emails that you have the permission to send emails to.

How do I set up a Forever Funnel?

You’re going to need approximately 3–4 ingredients in order to set up a forever funnel:

  • Email Platform (I personally love MailerLite — it’s free!)
  • Freebie
  • Valuable Content
  • Offer* (If you don’t have one that’s okay, highlight this sentence if you want to learn how to create one)

Let’s start with the first one, an email platform.

I love MailerLite as it’s completely free and it packs a lot of features that you would normally have to pay for with other email platform providers. What’s beneficial about MailerLite is that they have a really easy-to-use automation feature that is absolutely critical to the Forever Funnel process.

Second, it’s time for the freebie.

A freebie is essentially something that you give a way for free in exchange for receiving an individual’s email.

How do you make an irresistible freebie?

For making an irresistible freebie it’s important that you have a solid understanding of who your ideal clients are to begin with. If you don’t know quite just yet read this article:

The reason it’s so important is that you know exactly what your ideal client wants, you know their pain points, and you know what they’re looking for.

For creating a freebie, I always say give out the juiciest thing that they want for free. Now, you don’t have to give them the whole thing away for free, but something enticing enough where they will want to subscribe to your email list.

Or

You can give them a piece of the toolset. For example, if you’re talking about how to set up an automation in an article, then you can give them the code/automation away as your freebie.

The point is to give them something that is of value to them, that they can easily apply, and gives them a taste of wanting more, which leads me to creating valuable content.

Creating Juicy Content that People Keep Coming Back To

Again, you have to know who your ideal client is in order to create valuable content that applies to them. I will reference this article once more for how to get started:

When you know your ideal client, you know their pain points. I would recommend identifying your ideal clients TOP 3 pain points. One email per pain point.

Once you’ve identified them, create content (your emails) that provides value or helpful tips to conquer those pain points.

If you’re an established entrepreneur, you will more than likely have content created, repurpose that content for your funnel.

Bonus Tip: At the end of each of your content emails, give a teaser for the next email that’s coming your way. This allows them to look forward to your next email and make sure to read it.

After the individual receives your value emails, you can then send 1–2 emails presenting your offer to them. Make sure the offer you present is a solution, or in line with, answering the pain points you mentioned in the previous value emails.

What if you don’t have an offer?

Here’s the beautiful thing about the online entrepreneurship space. You can almost be an affiliate for just about anything. The offer you present to your audience is a solution that fits their pain points.

Offer = solution

If you haven’t created a solution, direct them to someone else who has.

*Before you do this, talk to that person and ask if you can be an affiliate and receive a commission on their product/service if the transaction goes through.*

Adding the Forever to the Forever Funnel

So what makes this funnel forever?

Well, you rinse and repeat through these steps I mentioned above and just continue to add to the automation as you’re building this out.

If you’re an established entrepreneur who has multiple offers already, do this process with each one of them and link them all together in the forever funnel.

If you’re a beginner entrepreneur, then as you are creating content to establish your business, add that same content to this automated email sequence.

If you have no offers, here are some other use cases for a Forever Funnel:

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Newsletter memberships
  • Public Relations Outreach
  • Growing an External Community (Paid or Free)

There are so many ways beyond what I mentioned above to leverage a Forever Funnel.
