I wish someone would make this work but I don’t know who is responsible

It is painful to copy and paste between a Mac and Ubuntu. I don’t know who is responsible for this software and unfortunately this is not really my thing, so I am not the best person to help.
Here are the things that don’t work or have weird bugs.
You can’t use the control key options to cut and paste a password into the RDP dialog I explained how to set up here:
You can’t use control key options to copy and paste in the Xfce terminal. I had to use that with the desktop option in the last post instead of whatever terminal the system came with.
Copy and paste in conjunction with this particular problem gets very confusing and makes the system almost unusable. I have to hit enter a bunch of times and clear the screen to get it to work and allow me to edit what I have copied and pasted.
Example:
- I have two terminal tabs open.
- I copy a file name from the first terminal.
- I type cat and then space in the second terminal.
- I hit the space bar to add another command.
- My text is instantly mangled to complete uselessness.
Applications — hit or miss if copy and paste works and how it works.
Related: Trying to select text in the terminal is like a game of Operation — if you remember that game as a kid. You make one wrong move and zzzzzz! Start over.
The simple things are just hard for those of us who like to work on the command line. AWS Linux is much better but unfortunately there are some things that require a gui and I’m trying to standardize.
