I’ve conjured a Dream for myself. (A kinda ambitious one, really) I’d like to buy myself a fixer-upper Victorian house in the Lovely and Pastoral town of Stillwater, Minnesota. It’s about 30 miles East of Minneapolis, and a World away. I’m not sure exactly what the difference is, but it’s a whole different vibe from other small towns in the State. (Jessica Lange and the late Sam Shepard lived there a dozen years or so ago) You get a Turn-Of-The-Century kind of feel. Helped along by a plethora of Victorian houses dotting the Cityscape.

I did some (Carpentry) work for a guy there Summer before last. ( I actually like to think of myself as a Zen Carpenter… don’t ask me to explain the difference. It’s just a feeling ;) He was turning the attic into usable space. I simply couldn’t deny the good feeling I had showing up for work every morning. At some point along the way, I thought, “I’d like to have something like this for myself”

I’m currently working on some side hustles that will hopefully turn into something. Something, like …. Money. One of the things I’d look forward to most having a house is having Dogs. We had a Border Collie years ago named Brady, and the idea of raising them strikes my fancy.

I’m thinking 5 dogs. Three Males and 2 Females. When they had a litter, I’d sell them. The next litter, I’d donate to Wounded Warriors for Vets who needed a companion dog. Back and forth…. I currently live in an apartment (No dogs allowed) with 2 Gerbils, Thelma and Louise. I was just going to get one, but the Woman at the pet store said they were Sisters and would miss each other. I cocked an eyebrow at Her, but she assured me it was true. (Still not sure) Thing of it is, gerbils somehow; well, they just aren’t as spiritually fulfilling as Dogs would be. And Dogs deserve cool names. Sooo-ooo, without further adieu;
