I was invited to join a ten-word story challenge. Shorter stories like that are always difficult to write. These stories always come together beautifully though.

Here is how the story started:

Stepping forward into the unknown future awakened her inner sight.

This fierce guerrera knew the ancestors would always guide her.

Although she did not recognize her future, she felt safe.

She was ready to carpe diem, surge forward, face anything!

Her ancestors beckoned her onward, urging her not to tarry.
