Verse 1

Before Taoism and Buddhism there existed a great prophet, a man few today know existed, a man who was wise to all the knowledge the world had to offer, all there was, and all that will ever be. The words of Confuseus were the basis upon which another great scholar, Confucius, founded Confucianism.

Unlike the founders of the other great religions, Confuseus spent much of his life traveling around the world to every continent, every shore in search of all there was to know. He never sought fanfare, wealth, or belongings to slow him down. He did this at a time when most people in most countries had never heard of places other than where they lived, much less places halfway across the world.

While most religious leaders seek followers, Confuseus never allowed anyone to follow him, and the fact that Confuseus left his texts in the places he visited historians have, until now, never been able to piece together his life’s story. Adding to the difficulty is the fact that many have claimed his words for their own.

Finally, Confuseus sez, “Ancient book known to many ’cause no one use it start fire.”

A wise man indeed.
