Concrete Waters
Anthology Submission
Bravado, young minds concerns themselves with the preliminary, concrete and water exist, often, side by side, let it slide; strip the inside, side by side, blocks block the water from reaching shoreline, it is fine, it’s fine.
Water is stripped bare from your vision, your heart builds a stone, temple to guard disbelief and longing for pure`saline’, bottles and lotions, loons in the water, looming in the water, you day dream of the water, stop.
Serene blue and insightful green, black, grey, scintillating and recluse, it had been family to you, you grew up by the ocean, in your blood it resides, presuming that you wish to join it’s millennial foundation, crack, not`barriers`only`in`man made.`
City offers opportunity, clams on the rocks, mold on the rocks, it is not an enemy by far, no` enmity`it’s the world spinning, curling, shining lights for us to grow, grow outside the self, inside self, ~inner self, delusions?
Empty me and carry my barren there, to the shore, amidst pebbles is enough, I wish to live inside the inside, carried by stormy winds, floating, observing, discussing with songs of whales, cries of seagulls, play things of the dolphins, trapped in kelp, once a mermaid of this I am sure, the pull of the water is too strong, but the need for shelter is stronger.
