Come With Me

A love poem

“Come with me To the sea,” Sang a singer on the radio.

I remember those days

The two of us sitting In the cafe

Near the beach.

Listening to gulls cry Like kids on a playground.

I miss those days

When we’d lie together Beside the ocean

Listening to the crashing waves.

It felt like time would never end.
