Come, let’s Blog our own Book Together!

Do you dream of writing a book or have an idea so hot it’s ready to burn itself through your fingertips?

When I first read about the concept of ‘blogging your own book’, I literally skipped a beat (a heartbeat I mean!) because I have always wanted to author a book but was too intimidated by the entire process.

Tell me if the thought of the entire process, right from actually writing out 50-80,000 words to getting an agent, and publisher, and thereafter distributing it isn’t overwhelming?

But today there are so many ways to self-publish, including print-on-demand services, that writing your own book could actually be a reality!

BYOB=Blog Your Own Book is a month-long program hosted by Shaunta Grimes at Ninja Writers.

The plan is something like this-

• July- plan our topics and blog posts.
• August- write and publish our blog posts.
• September- edit our blog posts into a book.
• October- publish our BYOB books on Kindle.

Sounds Super Easy right?

I think BYOB is a beautiful initiative and my sincere gratitude to Shaunta & her team for making this a reality for so many!

While I am still skeptical about the possibility of me actually being able to churn out a book, (I am a hopeless dreamer!), I am hopeful it will turn into a reality soon.

This is where I need you, my friend. I want us to commit to one another… motivate and trod along through this journey together. I might come up with excuses like my newborn did not leave me with any spare time, my blog required more attention, or my work left me with no energy… but don’t you let me get away with it!
