Columbia, Day 8

Today, we left San Gill for Giron. Giron is a small city in the vicinity of the largest city in the province, Bucaramanga. The city is interesting as a small stopover on the way to the airport. We will be flying tomorrow to Cartagena, to alleviate the 15 hours drive.
We had a beautiful trip in a minibus, about 4 hours for 90 kilometers. The road went up and down. We crossed some beautiful mountainous areas. I would definitely recommend to make the trip by bus. The driver was very nice and even proposed to stop the bus for us to take pictures.

I can only imagine a Columbian tourist in the Alps in Switzerland hoping that the postal bus driver would stop the bus for that reason. Based on my experience, you would be happy to get a confirmation that you boarded the right bus, most probably in French only
The price of the whole 4-hour trip was about 7€. Nothing to complain about.

In Giron, we stay at the Trip Monkey Giron Hostel in a bright, large room. Some visitors have been disturbed by the sound of the church bell. I am not one of them. The city center will soon be fully restored and the city will be beautiful.

Tomorrow, we fly with Clic!
