Color Runs Deep

We are all part of the human race.

We all have different backgrounds but we all may have a connection you oddly look at my hue but I may be related to you

Features marks distinctions you may see strange speckles has it ever occurred to you we have the same freckles

My ancestors dealt with much beaten hanged scraped the men struggling in the fields some women were raped

We are distant and different and from a different woman don’t feel superior over me as we are all human

Teaching you may be hard and unlearning is fine get rid of the hate we may have the same bloodline

I am who I am and you are who you are no matter what they say you can’t change your DNA

Peace love joy after you sow you reap I can’t forget but can forgive just know color runs deep
