College Football Bets for 10/31

We started off the college football season on fire. We went 9–2 with our college football bets going into last weekend but, unfortunately, regression hit. We had the worst weekend of the season going 0–3. All we can do is accept it, shake it off, and realize that one bad weekend won’t define us. We’re still 9–5, over 64% for the season, and ready to get back at things with this weekend’s slate of games. By betting $100 per game and following along with this blog, even after a bad break last weekend, you’d still be up $350 ($900-$550). So please join me and hopefully I can help you make a bit more after this weekend!

What Happened?

It’s fun to brag about the great picks when we’re hitting all of our bets but we also have to be honest and face the music when things don’t go our way. It’s the best way to learn from our mistakes. The homework we did on Oklahoma State was all correct. The issue was that I locked it in too quickly. We got Oklahoma St at -3.5 points. The line dropped to -2.5 before kickoff and they won the game by exactly 3. The Minnesota vs Michigan game was completely wrong. I truly loved the fact that Minnesota was getting 3 points and almost touted them as a moneyline play. Then Michigan went on to prove me wrong in thinking that they were overrated and won the game 49–24. I also made the mistake of not giving Cincinnati their due credit as they destroyed SMU 42–13.

College Football Bets

The first game I’m looking at for Saturday is the West Virginia Mountaineers hosting the Kansas State Wildcats. Despite their road loss last week, West Virginia has been undefeated at home this season. Kansas State will be traveling with their backup freshman QB and a freshman RB to attempt to give West Virginia their second loss. Although Will Howard has done a fine job thus far taking over QB duties, I see West Virginia putting the pressure on him throughout this game. I see it being a close low scoring game so the extra half point worries me a bit but I’m still confident taking West Virginia -3.5 at home.

The Penn State Nittany Lions are coming off of a heartbreaking overtime loss to Indiana last week. This week they host their biggest rival Ohio State. As if those two factors aren’t enough motivation this game could be seen as a must-win for them being only the second game of their shortened season. Penn State isn’t looking to cover the point spread, they’re looking to win. That’s easier said than done of course. Ohio State is coming off of a game where they completely dominated Nebraska 52–17. If Penn State’s defense can limit and pressure Buckeyes QB Justin Fields then they’ll have a shot at victory. I’m certainly not bold enough to predict a Penn State victory but I am counting on them keeping this game close enough to cover the 12 point spread.

The Kris Bets This…

NCAA (9–5) (64.29%) (+3.5 units)

West Virginia -3.5 Penn State +12

Just the 2 lines for this weekend in college football bets. I’ll be back tomorrow with my NFL bets for this week. As always these lines have been taken from Draftkings. Don’t forget to shop lines with Fanduel and anywhere else made available to you. Best of luck everyone!
