College Football Bets for 10/24
Coming off of another great weekend in college football where we went 2–1, bringing our season total to 9–2, we’re back with a few more great betting options for Saturday. By betting $100 per game, and following this blog during the college football season, you’d be up $680 so far. I’m hoping to make you another $300 by the end of the weekend. First let’s go over how we did last weekend and then we’ll get into this Saturday in college football bets.
What Went Right?
We took North Texas +6 over Middle Tennessee. I knew both defenses were pretty bad but didn’t count on a total of 87 points! Thankfully we stayed away from the total and relied on North Texas to win or keep it within 6 points. Lucky for us they started off rough and then went on to take the lead and win by 17 points. Later in the night we counted on Alabama and their strong offense to get the better part of Georgia’s tough defense. We took another 17 point win with Alabama covering the 4 points and winning 41–24.
What Went Wrong?
I listed off a few great reasons why the Miami Hurricanes would defeat the Pittsburgh Panthers. I was happy to take Miami anywhere under -14. We locked it in at -13 and, unfortunately, the Hurricanes did win but they won by 12. Just barely not covering the spread. But that happens sometimes and we can’t be discouraged after going 2–1 for the day.
College Football Bets
This Saturday afternoon we’ll see the Oklahoma State Cowboys host the Iowa State Cyclones. Because of the postponement of their game against Baylor, The Cowboys have had about 3 weeks worth of rest. They’ve won all 3 of their games prior to their long break. Oklahoma State has one of the top pass defenses in college football and their defense leads the league in not allowing third down conversions. So long as they can also stop the run they’re set to cover the 3.5 point spread.
The Big 10 returns this weekend and I can always count on the linemakers to overvalue Michigan at the beginning of the season. Saturday evening they’ll be traveling to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers. Minnesota QB Tanner Morgan returns to lead this offense along with their star receiver Rashod Bateman. Michigan’s offense will feature a new QB and a young offensive line. Minnesota is at home and getting 3 points. Minnesota all the way here.
The late night game I’m looking forward to is the battle between two undefeated teams. The 3–0 Cincinnati Bearcats will be heading to SMU to take on the 5–0 Mustangs. Cincinnati should be well rested after having 3 weeks off. And although their defense is stout I think SMU is on quite the roll and their offense will have the upper hand here in this matchup. I like this line under a field goal so I’m locking it in today at -2.5.
The Kris Bets This…
NCAAF (9–2) (81.82%) (+6.8 units)
Oklahoma State -3.5 Minnesota +3 SMU -2.5
As always I grabbed these lines from the Draftkings sportsbook. I always encourage you to shop lines with Fanduel or anywhere else available to you. Take whatever advantage you can find. I’ll be back tomorrow with my NFL Week 7 bets. Good luck everyone!
