College Basketball Bets for 12/1
Yesterday was our start of betting college basketball for this season and we started off great. We recommended 3 games. The first two covered the spread and the third game was postponed due to Covid. I’m sure we’ll see plenty of that throughout the season but we’ll still push the best plays and go from there. A cancelled game obviously won’t show up in our win-loss so we’re currently at 2–0. Let’s review last night’s games and then look towards today’s college basketball bets for 12/1.
What Went Right?
Our first win from last night came from the Eastern Kentucky Colonels as they took Xavier into overtime. We knew Xavier had been playing their 4th game in 6 days and had just come off of very close wins. We needed Eastern Kentucky to cover the 16.5 point spread and they did so by losing 99–96 in overtime.
While doing the research yesterday I figured there was opportunity for the underdog Texas Southern to possibly pull off the upset against Wyoming. It didn’t look too promising for us at halftime when Wyoming had a 50–31 lead. Thankfully Texas Southern used the second half to rally and come out with a 76–74 win.
College Basketball Bets for 12/1
The first game we’re looking at today is a 3:00 Eastern start as the Prairie View A&M Panthers travel to play the UNCG Spartans. Prairie View A&M is favored to win their conference this year after doing so the last 2 seasons. UNC Greensboro is coming off of a win after being down 11 points in the first half. UNC Greensboro may be the better team but Prairie View A&M stays at the top of their conference each year by playing hard all game. I see them putting up a big enough fight to cover the 14 point spread.
Another early game that I’m looking at is the Oakland Golden Grizzlies playing at Purdue to take on the Boilermakers. On paper this looks like a major mismatch, and maybe it is, but I see the chance for opportunity here. Oakland is 0–4 to start the season while Purdue is 1–1. Purdue is coming off of an 11 point loss to Clemson. Oakland has lost each game but by a smaller margin each time. Their last game was an overtime loss to a ranked Michigan Wolverine team. The better team won in the end but it shows improvement in Oakland. I don’t know that they’ll get their first win tonight but I don’t see them losing by over 22 points.
I think the wrong team is favored in the matchup between the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Florida International Panthers. I realize Central Michigan is 0–1 and FIU is 2–0 playing at home but I think this is a good chance to take the better team getting points. Central Michigan’s loss was by 2 points. FIU’s two victories were both against a division II team Flagler. In their first game against Flagler, FIU had a 37% shot percentage and in the second game they missed half of their free throws. Central Michigan looked better in their loss than FIU did in their wins. I think Central Michigan wins this game and I’ll gladly accept the 4 points if it remains close.
The Kris Bets This…
NCAAB (2–0)(100%)(+2 units)
Prairie View A&M +14 Oakland +21.5 Central Michigan +4
The lines are from Draftkings. Don’t forget to compare lines with Fanduel and anywhere else available. Let’s keep the win streak going strong through today as well. Best of luck everyone!
