cold brew coffee not unlike my current situation- feel like I’m simply drowning yet somehow in time it draws my energizing essence out.

Inviting Beth Nintzel | Rebecca Stevens A. | Ema Dumitru | Warren Brown | Tree Langdon | Loud Updates | America Zed | Maryjo Bautista | Josie Elbiry| Azadehruh Alam | Raffaella Ferretti | Sean Peck | Loud Updates | if you’re up to it and anyone else interested to smash that writer’s block, join in on this tiny challenge and write a response, wherever it takes you!

Use a metaphor to describe your current situation. Bonus points if you use a food or drink as the basis for your metaphor, because y’all know how much I love food-themed poems!

Hi I’m Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) and I’ve been obsessed with cold brew coffee lately, brewing my own in a tiny jar I got from kimchi that I bought from the local farmer’s market. There’s something about the flavour that’s different from the flavour I usually get from using my pourover — certainly have different moods for each! Never thought I would be this kind of person in spending so much time learning about coffee but wow, I’ve really come a long way! It’s such a cool topic to learn about.
