Coincidence? There’s No Such Thing

The Success Of ILLUMINATION Is No Fluke

“At ILLUMINATION, the reader's satisfaction is our claim to fame”

The above line is my personal catchphrase for the place that’s much more than a publication, for me, it’s without a doubt my literary home.

Five months ago I came to the Medium platform to read, write, and mingle. I put reading first because it’s my first love, in fact, it inspired my desire to become a writer. I wanted to possess the ability to captivate people's attention with my words, as countless authors had done with me. So, in the beginning, I was writing for a selfish reason but due to this reason, I realized the power the right combination of words possesses. This revelation, combined with my strong desire to bring about a positive change in this world, started me writing in an entirely different manner.

My writing was now written to help others not only realize their greatness but more importantly, how they could capitalize on it as well. I began to write about achievements acquired from the proper understanding of the lessons’ experience taught me, this was done primarily to give options to perspective. I have never claimed that my way was the right way, but that it was a way that eventually led me to success. My thought is that we all should want every advantage we can get to help us to succeed, not saying it’ll produce the desired result but that if it makes logical sense, we should at least give it a look-see.

Anywho, getting back to the kingdom that is ILLUMINATION. I was put up on the idea of what was destined to become a reality by its founder, Dr Mehmet Yildiz, who in my humble opinion is the hardest working human in the enchanted land of readers and writers. After he told me his thoughts, I told him once everything was finalized that he could count on my presence to help in every manner possible.

As the good doctor was kingdom-building, I was going around making my presence felt on Medium, by acknowledging the presence and efforts of others. My reading and comments on what I was reading would eventually draw people to my page, and a number of these people would eventually join me in ILLUMINATION. I knew that the good doctor was popular, but I wouldn’t really understand how much until he launched the publication, that has taken Medium by storm.

For me, ILLUMINATION’s first day was a sign of great things to come. Not only was I impressed with the number of people who showed up, but also with who had shown up as well. In my humble opinion, these were legendary writers, who I had grown to care a great deal about because of their writing abilities. And with each passing day, our family grew larger. What I loved most about the growth is that it involved unique creativity, which in my humble opinion is the heart and soul of great literature. As unbreakable bonds were being built, ILLUMINATION was being structured to be the place writers and readers couldn’t get enough of.

There’s no such thing as a coincidence, everything that occurs does so for a specific reason. In the case of ILLUMINATION, the reason is due to an overall commitment to excellence. From the founder, Dr Mehmet Yildiz, to writers such as Desiree Driesenaar and Sylvia Love Johnson, ILLUMINATION’s primary objective is to provide all the things you’d expect from a top-notch publication, and so much more.

I’m honored to be able to say that I’m apart of something so special, again, for me this is much more than a publication, it’s my literary home.

Being a reader and writer in the realm of ILLUMINATION affords me the opportunity to rub shoulders with literary royalty such as Amy Marley, Michele Thill, Chris Hedges, Selma Paul Myers MBA, Rasheed Hooda, Tim Maudlin, Charlotte Zobeir Ali, Noma Dek, Joe Luca, Trista Ainsworth, Gurpreet Dhariwal, Arthur G. Popularity isn’t given, it’s earned, and due to a commitment to consistency from everyone involved. When we all do what we love, success has no other choice but to pay us a visit, and stay indefinitely, so says the reader, who just so happens to be a writer.
