Coddling
a vent piece about double standards

Notice the double standard: when I comment that requesting someone to Stop A Racist Thing still evokes a fight or flight response in me and how quickly people react with well, learn to desensitize to that and suck it up or the key to your mental health is learning how to be resilient or get over it already in order to make change.
Yet if a privileged person bursts into tears after a Basic Request to treat others with basic humanity we’re told to soften our tone relax our expressions so that discussions can be productive, more palatable to them.
