Closing The Curtains
Poetry of abandonment
If you met only the trouble you caused, Closing the curtains and locking the door.
Would you be happy to be yourself, Or would you prefer to be someone else.
If you relied on yourself to be kind, Could you be trusted with soothing your mind.
Would you be seen like a star from above, Wipe out the hopeless and find a new love.
Could you be clung to in loneliest times, Could you stop all of the tears in this life.
Would you be wiser than all that you know, So cold in the darkness How do you grow.
Having no soul in the world left to care, Could you be someone who stays like a friend.
If you met only my trouble you caused,
By closing the curtains and leaving this world.
