Cloaks of Pretension
A Double Etheree
Cloaks that some people wear, are so covert and so very dark that the vulnerable souls cannot really see the real harm coming their way, and fall prey to the pretensions of goodness which are deceptions in disguise. Deceptions can’t last long, and one fine day, will get revealed, and the covert dark cloaks will fall, all the pretensions won’t work — The vulnerable souls will soon realize they have endured so much — So, no more empathy for sly folks!
What makes me mad is arrogance, pretension, putting on airs — David Duchovny
