In honor of Dr. Michael E. Mann, the eminent climate scientist, who is getting his day in court after years of slander by repugnant and cowardly liars, I’m taking this moment to name some of the least honorable offenders — people who are behaving like enemies of the planet. People who, if WE fail to overcome their insanity and let them destroy the planet, will be hated (with reason) by their own children and grandchildren.

This isn’t much of an article to read. It’s more to bookmark and refer back to when you see any quotes or writings about climate that seem suspicious.

Michael Shellenberger

An ex-PR hack (or, in reality, a current one for climate liars), Shellenberger portrays himself as a climate expert. He has founded a bunch of organizations which promote and protect fossil fuels and lie about climate science. Shellenberger has no credible background in science, much less climate science. He holds an MA in anthropology from UCLA/Santa Cruz.

In addition to ignoring him, you should also ignore anything written by or quoted from organizations (and publications) with which he is (or has been ) affiliated: (notice how benign-sounding these reprehensible things are named!)

Mark Steyn

Styeyn is one of the defendants in the current slander case. He is, of course, indefensible. He is a former disc jockey and ex-theatre critic with no qualifications whatsoever in science. He guest hosted the Rush Limbaugh show, another blowhard no-nothing. He writes books which have been labeled — incorrectly — as non-fiction.

Rand Simberg

Simberg is another “analyst” at the Competitive Enterprise Institute and defendant at the current slander trial. He has a BA in Mathematics and a concentration in Astronomical Engineering and zero scientific expertise with regard to the climate. He’s so reprehensible that he compared Mann to a child molester. Simberg’s disgusting slander was the trigger for the lawsuit filed by Mann.
