Cleaning in Heaven (The Brand Name Poem)
By Amy Potter © March 30, 2011

Jesus went to prepare a place for us.
It’s been two thousand years.
And it will be much cleaner than
This earthly vale of tears.
For one thing, there will be no fence
To keep us in or out.
No barbed wire and no chain link.
We’ll be free to walk about.
The pearly gates won’t need Minwax.
Gold streets, no Mop ’n’ Glow.
There’ll be no burned out light bulbs
And no fuses there will blow.
The pasture won’t need bush-hogged.
No Roundup for the weeds.
Miracle Gro will provide
For all our gardening needs.
God will Pledge to Endust,
As we enjoy His company.
We can trade in all our Charmin
For some Angel Soft, you see.
Oxyclean and Tide will Cheer,
Our blood-washed clothes never stain.
And we won’t need umbrellas
’Cause it will never rain.
Every Dawn will Sparkle.
Blessings will Cascade.
Downy Doves can Snuggle.
We won’t have Rubbermaid.
Our mansions will be Fantastik!
With Jesus we will live.
With great Zest, we’ll Bounce with Joy.
All glory to God we’ll give.
