Clash of Clans: Optimizing Your Mini’s BH Base For Clan Games
So simple, yet so effective.
A lot of players do not actually use their Builder Hall (BH) for very much. I am one of those players. I have 15 mini accounts, so it would not be feasible for me to collect all the BH rewards and remain married to my wife at the same time. I made the hard choice and use just one BH base with any consistency.
However, the BH is actually extremely useful for clan games! I am sure you have already noticed this yourself.
However, there is something else about clan games which is not quite so obvious. In short, the lower you go in trophies, the easier a time you will have collecting percentage totals or stars to clear events! I like to drop trophies.
- I intentionally set up my base to be very easy to defeat
- I just dump my troops out in a ring around their base and instantly force-close the program. The game automatically calculates the outcome as if I had watched the whole thing.
I do this for a couple of reasons. The first is that it allows me to pick up the daily required BH star without investing any significant player time. (20 seconds x 15 accounts is still at least 5 minutes. It is important to be economical with my time.)
The second reason has to do with the matching system. In order to rise in trophies, you either need to win on defense or win on offense. By sandbagging both my offense and defense, I will fall in trophies until the point that my extremely noob, ring-around-the-base attack paired with my lousy base setup actually win half the time! In this way, I am able to gain modestly reduced lot for a small fraction of the player time.
Also, note that this works for every player no matter where they “naturally” would fall on the trophy scale. No matter where you truly belong, you’ll have an easy time 100–200 trophies lower!
When Clan Games start, I put my defenses back in order and start thinking about my attacks again. Because I have passively lowered my trophies during the regular season(while still collecting some loot and investing almost no time), I can usually clear 100% of the enemy buildings pretty easily and quickly during Clan Games! It eliminates a lot of the frustration from Clan Games for me.
Bonus: If you have 3+ accounts, you can usually cycle between them doing quick attacks with each without ever having to wait for an enemy to finish their slowpoke attack. Cycling a 24 star challenge can be much less annoying if you match it with a couple of 800% things on a couple other accounts, or whatever.
When Clan Games are over, I switch back to “please kill me” base mode and noob-ring attacks. The less active I am with that account’s BH, the sooner I switch back. That ensures I fall low enough to optimize Clan Games again the next month!
I know, I know. This was very short for me. I didn’t even put in a graph of ELO ranking systems or anything. Also, this guide is not going to be useful for anybody who plays BH enough to warrant doing their best on every attack.
