Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” Trailer Unveils the Terror and Mystery Behind the Actions That Incubated the Creation of the Atomic Bomb
— and Cillian Murphy Looks Just as Stressed Out as We Are

After watching the trailer for Oppenheimer, I had to put it on repeat. Every time I watched it I would feel myself go deeper into the mind and words that Cillian Murphy who plays Oppenheimer was saying. The fear in his eyes as he saw what first was just an idea become a reality, a machine that would change our future forever. From the very first seconds, you understand the magic and pragmatic use of elements in the film, the visuals, sound, music, acting, and cinematography is already winning awards as of this moment. At least in my mind.
Christopher Nolan came in and took the game of trailers to a whole new level. From that massive explosion to the scenography of natural elements to the panic and uncertainty of power to the understanding of what’s moral, what’s a theory, and what’s trust. I’m writing as I keep listening to this score and it’s quite difficult to this that we have to wait until July 21 of next year. It’s a film that needs to be experienced on the largest of screens to understand and transcribe all the feelings that each character portrays.
I would like to point out that the budget for this film was only 100 million dollars. Yes, this sounds like a massive amount, however, the caliber that Christopher Nolan brings to the big screen, the stellar cast that he was able to get together, and the already stunning visuals challenge the idea that this could be possible with such a budget. And yet the director reveals that you only need someone with a brilliant vision and talent to create a masterpiece like this.
The music sent me off to unknown places. Lingering through these flames that consumed my screen. The trailer is only 2 minutes and 2 seconds long yet 100 percent worthy of your time. Universal Pictures just released this trailer 8 hours ago and it’s already trending at #4 on YouTube as of this writing.
Among the cast, we have our beloved Florence Pugh playing Jean Tatlock, Robert Downey Jr. (Lewis Strauss), Matt Damon (Leslie Groves), Emily Blunt (Katherine Oppenheimer), and many more.
And at the end of it all, I have to ask the question that Oppenheimer may himself ask, was this truly necessary? Did we have no other choice but to create the Atomic Bomb?
