Choosing Your Mindset to Achieve Success and Happiness

A mindset leading to a happier life

What do you choose?

“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts”

Another morning, another early work wake-up.

How does that make you feel?

Dreading the future day ahead? Feeling down? Negative? Unenthused? Unmotivated?

If you answered yes to most of those questions, it is likely that you chose to feel that way.

You can’t be unmotivated simply by waking up, you decide that emotion upon waking up.

You told yourself, that the mundane work day ahead or the busy work day ahead, or maybe even the great work day ahead, would make you feel this way.

I, too, fall into this pit from time to time.

Although, I am trying and have been way more conscious of that. Really working on refraining from doing that.

I’m no different from you. I have to be aware and have to continuously strive to be better each day as well.

I get to do that. I choose to do that. It is within that, that we propel forward to success and growth.

Which leads me to ask you this,

What if you choose to wake up motivated, enthused, positive, and HAPPY?

Our thoughts are all that we truly own. Therefore, we should take control of them. As you read in the above quote, the quality of our thoughts means everything. Happiness in life is one.

To control our thoughts, we must be in the proper state of mind. There are two states of mind. High state and low state.

Both states react to a circumstance differently.

High state of mind

  • Optimistic
  • Willing
  • Motivated

The low state of mind

  • Pessimistic
  • Unwilling
  • Unmotivated

For instance, to compare the two, let’s use the sport of basketball as an example.

The high state of mind person may miss a shot. But instead of being down, that person will see this as the next opportunity being a chance to be better, gain redemption, and succeed. Achieve happiness.

While the low state of mind person will see a missed shot as something being wrong, can’t take another shot for the rest of the game, and cut their losses. Choosing to relinquish happiness.

You see if you’re not in the right state of mind. You’ll never choose happiness.

Be a high state of mind person.

“When we consciously cultivate a more positive, optimistic, and resilient mindset, we fuel every single business and educational outcome that we know how to track”

- Michelle Gielan

Many believe that success precedes happiness.

It is the other way around.

Now, I simply choose to be happy and always in a high state of mind. Always see a moment as a chance for growth or success. It is your choice, always.

It’s what led me to even be writing this right here, right now.

Practice affirmations of happiness

Tell yourself

  • “I am happy”
  • “Happiness is a state of mind that I choose and cultivate every day”
  • “I am a magnet for happiness and positivity”

Do not let the power of words go to waste. Implement this work into your life. Become aware of moments when you allow a situation to take your happiness. Then, correct it.

Choose happy.

Be Happy.

Be Successful
