Choosing the right Hair Iron
on a limited budget
Recently I lost my GHD which I had for almost 10 years, it must have happened when I was moving. Before ever owning a hair iron I had only ever used a blow drier and hair brush. When I was younger and probably before coloring my hair, my hair was so easy and straight, I would wake up in the morning, take a brush through my hair and go on about my day, no fuss.
Now, I have reached my 40’s and I feel like I have someone else’s hair, what happened to my easy straight no fuss hair, no matter what I put it through it was easy and healthy. Since I lost my GHD I have been using a cheaper hair iron and noticed that it is causing heat damage to my hair, I realized this because my boyfriend went overseas for a month and during that time I didn’t straighten my hair, when he returned I decided to straighten my hair and immediately noticed the difference with my hair.
Now I need to buy a new quality hair iron, the question is which one, and do I really want to be out of pocket of almost $200 for a hair iron, is there a better option out there?
I have put together a comparison of 4 hair Irons available on amazon. I am considering one of the 4, this includes the GHD Platinum, Vanessa Pro, CHI G2 and HSI Professional.

COMPARISON OF FLAT IRONS — GHD, VANESSA, CHI & HSI
While the CHI, looks attractive with the highest ratings. The features, look and feel don’t get my attention.
For my personal preference and being a creature of habit, I will be purchasing the GHD.
