China Covering Up Massive Covid Infections and Deaths

New facts coming to light as Chinese Government re-opens border

China is now admitting 250 million people have caught covid in the last 20 days of December. Up to one million deaths are predicted by experts including the Chinese CDC. Still, the Chinese Communist government is proceeding with plans to drop their previous zero-tolerance policy and re-open their borders. This is a massive coverup. Since December 1, the Chinese government had officially reported only 8 deaths, according to the Financial Times.

This was obviously too big a crisis to cover up. There has been extensive television coverage of a surge of corpses being dumped off at overwhelmed crematoriums with a one-week reservation required lately in videos smuggled out of China.

In a closed-door meeting, these dire predictions were revealed by Sun Yang, a deputy of the Chinese Center for Disease Control Prevention in a Wednesday health briefing.

China has stopped trying to tally the total number of infections. They are now trying to juggle the number of infections to make them less startling, but the sheer scope of the cases and deaths involved is staggering as the medical toll mounts.

I saw a chilling video on tv of an obviously frightened Chinese woman activist speaking against the former government policy who stated “If you are seeing this video, I have already been detained by the authorities.”

The woman has since disappeared from sight according to friends.

“The Chinese central government is proceeding with plans to fully re-open the borders in a gradual and orderly manner,” according to Hong Kong chief executive John Lee. They are doing this as a matter of economic urgency.

As soon as President Xi won re-election as the autocratic leader of China, and as deaths and protests mounted against his zero-tolerance crackdown, Xi dropped the hated, controversial policy. Mass testing ceased, lockdowns ended, and he claimed the virus was no longer dangerous.

Xi did this because the Chinese economy had one of its worst performances in decades last year as growth was dragged down by numerous covid lockdowns by a deadly outbreak of cases.

Now Chinese nationals are fleeing the country in record numbers, and are causing alarm in many countries because they believe Xi is just exporting all the infected cases to deflect attention from reduced economic growth. Skeptics say this is the real reason for the sharp reversal in policy.

In response, Xi toned down aggressive rhetoric and prioritized the private sector in the hope of reversing the plunge in the national economy.

But since the policy reversal, the virus is spreading even more rapidly. US drugmaker Pfizer is increasing exports of Paxlovid to China, even though Xi is trying to downplay the new outbreaks, declaring his policy effective.

Other countries are not so sure. Recent flights to Milan, Italy revealed 50% of passengers on inbound flights from China had Covid when checked. Preferred destinations by Chinese businessmen are Australia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the UK, America, and Thailand.

Xi has no compunctions against re-infecting most of the world and causing the deaths of millions more who may now be exposed to new and old combinations of variants. He just wants to get China’s economy rolling again. And Wall Street is thrilled.

The CDC urges Americans to “reconsider” travel to China because of this startling surge in Covid cases, and will require that all travelers from China will need to test negative for Covid-19 before boarding flights to the US starting next week.

In a travel alert published Wednesday, the CDC cited “reports that the health care system is overwhelmed,” as well as the threat of new variants that may have been produced during China’s 2 years of their previous zero-tolerance policy.

So be prepared, Ameria. Covid is getting a big jump in possible infections not because China has “solved” the crisis, but because they only care about revitalizing their economy.

And American businesses are welcoming the new Chinese policy.

Because there is money to be made. Try not to get caught in the middle.
