Chilli’s Eyes Are Bigger Than Her Tummy

February Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Hide & Seek”

Enormous bag. Overconfident puppy. No problem!

Chilli couldn’t believe this bag choc-full of Eukanuba would take six months to eat. Given her way, it would have lasted all of six minutes!

Chilli and Rotto dine on a (mostly) raw food diet. They both get two chicken drumsticks for breakfast (always two because they can count and know when the other has an extra drummie slipped in).

For dinner — or ‘dins’ as it’s called in dog-speak — we* have a food mix we make ourselves. A mix usually makes 4–6 weeks of bagged and frozen meals.

We chop and blend:

  • Steak
  • Livers (lamb or chicken)
  • Carrots
  • Apples
  • Silverbeet
  • Celery
  • Garlic
  • Kale
  • Asian greens
  • Spinach
  • Eggs
  • Flak seed oil
  • Kelp powder
  • Yogurt

*by we, I mean my husband. I’m responsible for hunting and gathering the ingredients and holding the freezer bags open.

We add Eukanuba to their dins or use it as a distraction. They both love a good ‘nuba hunt!

Hide & Seek Challenge Uh oh — something extra appeared in this photo. Can you spot it?

Let me know if you find it!

Hide & Seek Challenge Tip: Open the image in a new tab and bump up the zoom on your browser window, it will make hunting objects in photos easier.

Thanks for playing, Sandi xx
