Cherishing Those Loyal Hearts
Your best friends don’t have to be people

In the quiet hours of dawn’s embrace, When the world stirs soft and slow, There’s a magic spun in silent space, Where my heart’s finer passions flow.
For in that gentle morning light, My faithful friends do softly tread, With tails that wag and eyes that shine They pull me from my slumber’s bed.
Why do I love them? Let me share, In words that dance, in lines that sing, It’s more than the warmth they bring Or the joy in the play
It’s the unwavering gaze filled with love, Unspoken bonds that time can’t sever, Their presence, a gift from the heavens above, A reminder of kindness, enduring forever.
Through seasons that turn, in storms and calm, They ask for nothing but to be by my side, In their company, my troubled heart finds balm, In their silence, a world of understanding wide.
For who could not cherish such loyal hearts, That beat with a rhythm so loyal and true In life’s vast tapestry, they’re the finest of arts, Guardians of my soul, love through and through
So why do I love my dogs, you ask? It’s in every moment, every breath we share, In their unasked tasks, in their devoted bask, In their simple being, their loving care.
They teach me of patience, of unwavering trust, Of finding joy in the smallest of things, In a world that’s sometimes unfair and unjust, They’re my quiet rebels with invisible wings.
Thus, in the quiet hours of dawn’s embrace, With my dogs, I find my space In their eyes, the world’s a better place For in their love, I’ve found my grace.
