Chemistry and Belief

Sometimes you need to trust time

There will come a time in life where you’ll meet people who just get you in ways nobody ever has. And the coolest thing is you’ll know by the very fact they don’t say a word.

Or if they do it’s years later and it’s done so nonchalantly.

That’s probably around the time you already decided it’s time to make changes in your life because whatever you were doing before just did not work out for you.

I think the pandemic should be renamed The Great Reset.

Where we were all forced to sit around and Do nothing for a while. And instead Be something. And that was hard for many of us.

It was likely like that scene in The Neverending Story. The final and most difficult challenge. Looking into the mirror and seeing who you truly were inside of you.

Well anyway the pandemic has passed but the changes are here. And we must adapt and evolve.

I consider myself a resolute person. Another way to say that is I’m pretty dang stubborn. I can get set in my ways. A surprising facet of someone who’s been around change most of her life.

Here’s what I say to you:

Don’t be so stubborn.

When you meet a person you can’t quite put your finger on, but they linger on, they start to change you in ways that make you feel beautiful and bring forth growth within you, don’t be so stubborn.

I love plans. I live by plans. You should see my lists. But The Great Reset showed me I should have remembered my upbringing. Life can change in an instant, so adapt and be comfortable adapting.

Let them in. As much time as it takes, if the chemistry is right, they won’t actually budge until you let them in. So might as well let them in.

You might find you’ve met your match and more so. That you’ve finally met someone more stubborn and mulish than you.

Then let them teach you, or remind you all the good you have in you. How to believe in yourself again.

Sometimes in life you will bump into magic in your mundane.

Grab hold of it with both hands and for dear life. And don’t let go.

That’s life calling your name to your true path.

Happy thawing and growing.
