Have you tried nutritional yeast? It’s a great source of minerals, B vitamins, protein, and antioxidants. And it’s perfect on top of popcorn — giving it a cheezy, nutty type flavoring. Easy, healthy, and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

Instructions

  1. Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large, thick-bottomed pan.
  2. Add 3 kernels of popcorn to the pan. Secure lid and listen for the 3 pops.
  3. Add remaining kernels to form an even layer. Gently shake the pan, so all seeds are coated with oil.
  4. Cover, leaving slightly ajar, to let some of the steam release as it pops.
  5. Shake every thirty seconds or so to prevent burning.
  6. Once popcorn slows to around 5 seconds between pops, remove from heat.
  7. Pour into large bowl
  8. Add nutritional yeast.
  9. Shake to combine.
