Charlie’s Snow Day
1 of 💯— Clothes and Snow
He asked to play in the snow. He begged, “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy! It’s snowing, and I wanna play. Please, can I go play?” “Fine, my little snow wolf, but you’ll need more layers. It’s cold, honey.”
Charlie ran as fast as his little legs would carry him upstairs to put on more layers. In what felt like seconds later, he was back downstairs dressed in sweatpants, two sweaters, mittens, socks, and one of Grandma’s knitted hats. All of this was bright and mismatched. “Okay, Mommy, I’m dressed! Can I go outside now?” With no fear of being unable to find her child in the snow, she tightened his boots and sent him on his way.
Once outside, feeling the snow under his small boots, Charlie fell back and made a snow angel. His entire body held that joyous feeling.
