Changing Your Perspective To Overcome Obstacles
It’s all about you

The truth is that for the last 3 years I’ve repeatedly come up against the same obstacle, chipping away at it here and there yet the real release of emotional pent up energy has yet to come bursting up from the depths of my being.
I feel like I’m in a life crisis.
Has the desire to change something ever come to the surface, yet the overwhelming feeling that that will never be possible accompanies it wherever it goes, preventing that idea from taking flight?
That feeling anchors your true desire right there where it can safely be kept under tight supervision.
This article is how I’m changing that. I’m finally making progress and I want to share with you how you can achieve the same for yourself.
As I sat there on the passenger side, drifting in and out of focus, I saw the continuous nature of thoughts flying by like cars on a racetrack. The anger and frustration continued to build up velocity as I thought of my inner conflict and the continual trip-ups I frequently experienced because of it.
Has this ever happened to you?
I felt locked into a negative spiral, hooked on continuing that train of thought when at a specific moment I employed the greatest of skills my guru Michael taught me. I switched my thinking in an instant and with the awareness of my changing thought patterns came an immediate change in my state of being.
I was happier as soon as I changed my thinking. I didn’t need any outside validation, my feelings responded to that change and I knew things were getting better.
I sat down to continue this piece when the same obstacle appeared once more and the words required to satisfy your curiosity, and my expressive nature seemed to be out of sight.
This brings us to the dilemma that arises when you’re unable to change the way you think about something. There are times when answers seem to be as frequent as fresh water in the Sahara, practically non-existent.
As the frustration at my blockage grew large this time I turned to my guru Michael for advice.
Michael — “So Vincent, you’re talking about how people can change their perspective, but what should people do when the answer eludes them, does this invalidate the process of changing your perspective?”
This question was familiar, it’s not that I’d heard it from Michael before, but rather it brought on the realisation that he’d thought of this issue far in advance. Many times my guru has posed challenging questions aimed at my current perception and helping me see further.
I was left in a quandary, without the answer I wanted and feeling stuck. How could I move forward?
Michael — “Even if you can’t find an answer it doesn’t invalidate the process of changing your perspective. One of the answers is to wait until the situation resolves itself. The answer in this particular case, however, is to go onto something else that’s going to make you happier.
What do you do when you can’t get to an answer? You move onto something else because that’s going to make you happier.”
As Michael was telling me this my perspective was shifting and my state was going up, just as it did in the car. Even though the particular answer I was after wasn’t there at that moment, a new answer was born, out of the ashes of our words just as a phoenix rises from the dust.
Michael suggested that I tell people about this and how I was stuck. “Ask them for feedback’ he said ‘post it and say I’m not sure how to complete this. You didn’t get the answer you wanted so you did something else and your energy went up”.
This is the importance of paying attention to your state and your perspective. There is an interplay between these two going on at all times.
How is your energy (state) doing right now?
What is your perspective of this article, and if you take a moment to think of and analyse what I’m saying further how does changing the way you think of this article affect your state?
If you find your energy going up when looking at it a certain way then you have to conclude that the new way of thinking about it is more truthful than the old way.
This is a tool you can use on anything at any time and you can get immediate results for yourself just by paying attention to yourself. You don’t need to do years of mediation to achieve this, this is open to you right now.
Michael then went on to tell me how I previously wouldn’t have posted something like this. I wouldn’t have wanted to share my insecurities because by saying that I don’t have the answer I really felt like I was telling people I’m vulnerable and powerless.
But that’s not really true because I’m actively looking for answers. Isn’t it powerful to be looking for the answers you want in your life? This is a different perspective I’m adopting.
The truth is that I still don’t quite have the answer to how to communicate the things I’m learning to people. I want to, but I find it hard and it brings up a lot of the internal conflicts I have. But by sharing this today I’ve learnt a bit more and I’m happier for it. I’ll also be able to give you updates on how my perception changes in the future.
My energy is doing better after writing this. This is a technique that always works because at every moment you can find the next answer you need to move forward and be happier.
I would like your feedback and invite critical analyses of any kind. I want to build relationships with my readers, I want to improve your reading experience and my writing.
Thinking of that makes my energy go up. How does this idea effect your own energy?
