Change Your View On What You See

Take a NEW look at this old 2020 year

The Universe is always speaking to us — are you listening? If so, you will notice that it starts with that small quiet voice and if not paid attention to becomes a loud roar.

It’s the red flags that we see but often avoid looking at.

Monday morning, the Universe spoke to me and I heard loud and clear. It came through the voice of Dee Wallace in a webinar that I was listening to. I was in need of motivation as I spent my Sunday challenged instead of soulful.

It was my choice — it was one of those rare days. We all have them from time to time, some more than others. I decided to live in the place of darkness not really caring to pull myself out.

I had the day off, was alone and decided to just go for it. Part of the problem was that I was struggling to write my article. No thoughts were appealing to me. And none would be with my attitude.

I woke up Monday morning still in a funk and knew that I had to switch it around…somehow… So as I was getting ready for work, I put on that webinar with Dee.

I spent a good amount of my time with her half-listening as I had all the thoughts of doubt about my life play in my head. I felt kinda hopeless.

At one point, my attention was brought back to Dee, as I heard her say to a caller, “Are you willing to trust?”… and then there was silence. Nothing more.

It stopped — and I stopped. Huh? What happened? I looked at my speaker and it was still on. I picked up my phone that was playing the recording, and it was on pause

That’s when I knew those words were being directed to me. I was being asked, Am I willing to trust? Asked not by Dee, but by the Universe.

I stopped what I was doing and said out loud — “Yes, I am willing to trust.” And then I felt my funk lift. I felt so much better. I felt hopeful again.

We all have the power to hear the Universe or whatever you would like to call that higher being. But only if we are listening — if we are aware and conscious to see and understand the signs, signals and synchronicities as they come.

And when we don’t — it gets louder until we do.

After that wake-up moment, I was reminded of a chapter in Gabby Bernstein’s book, The Universe Has Your Back. I had actually taken notes on it in August for a future article — and now it was time to write about what she had to share.

“What we focus on, we create. We collect certain images to support our statements. And we filter out others. We choose the world we perceive.”

This was not a NEW message to me. It’s one I have been sharing, and now this time from another messenger.

How do we choose to see what is happening in our lives? Gabby gave two great examples:

A health scare — you can see it faced with terror or see it as a time to slow down, embrace your body and seek to really heal.

A fight with a spouse — you can see it as another reason to consider divorce or an opportunity to learn how to grow together.

How do you look at what is happening in your life? Are you coming from a place of love with hope — or a place of fear with feelings of being hopeless?

Projection is our perception…

We are in times right now that are challenging. Quite challenging to put in mildly. Some of us are hit harder than others. If you are struggling to pay the bills, the rent, put food on the table how can you have hope?

Gabby gave some examples of people who have been through horrific times and how because of their perception and perspective, they have risen up and became leaders. Well known leaders.

Elie Wiesel — He turned his experience of the holocaust into an existential journey. This made him one of the greatest writers and healers of our time.

Mahatma Gandhi — He chose peaceful protest in the midst of leading the Indian Independence movement which ended the British rule in India.

Leymah GboweeShe led a women’s movement that brought an end to the Second Liberian Civil war in 2003. She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011. Born in 1972, she is the founder and president of Gbowee Peace Foundation.

Gabby noted that “All these heroes shared the choice to perceive their circumstances with love. Fear would have led to violence and death. Love led them to rise above perceptions of darkness and into the light.”

I’ve been writing about the power of love since we have been living in such fear with Covid-19. Love is the most powerful, creative force.

And in these times we are in, we are all given the opportunity to create our NEW normal. What does yours look like?

Gabby shared some steps to help us shift our perception:

  • Choose to learn through love over fear. Can you look at what is happening as something to help you grow?
  • Fast come back — when you step out of the view of love, can you see it and step back in.
  • Align your thoughts with love.
  • I am ready to learn through love” commit to using this purpose statement. Use this daily to direct your energy.
  • You are the dreamer of your dream — see the world as you want it.

Again, as I see it, this is about us feeling some control in these out of control times and tapping into our inner power. In doing so, this will help bring us some peace. That’s my message…

…We are all messengers, sharing the same message in our own way. What I have shared here, I have shared before — but this time through the eyes of Gabby Bernstein.

Can you see 2020 through the eyes of love? Your vision will become clearer if you do.
