Success is inside you

Close your eyes and feel in this space the freedom that surrounds you.

This state of certainty has to become permanent. Permanence means no space and no time. In timelessness, you create success because you eliminate every pitfall you may encounter. You are whole and victorious.

Success is inside you. No one can give this to you or prevent you from having it. You have to feel what it is you are doing — the others will feel it, too, and recognize it in you. Success comes only from an individual. To be successful you have to win your dependence. The victory you feel will grow and multiply inside you until it becomes visible in the veil outside that you call ‘world’, and you see it everywhere around you.

It is enough to have just one person who lives in a state of understanding to free everyone in the room — a person who feels the fear of the others, who recognize their worries in himself and embraces them. Comprehends them. Someone certain. It would seem that rocks are immobile, but even the rocks feel what you feel.

The game of time makes everything visible. When you are in this state, you will be an answer to all the questions that present themselves apparently before you. The ‘answer’ is not something technical but is resolution — a state of active rest in which the world finds repose and freedom. In the answer, all new possibilities lie.

Responsibility is the basis for creativity

Be responsible — answerable — able to respond.

When you are aware, you have this double attention that makes you responsible for everything. Be still. While you go back and forth throughout the day, recognize in yourself the need to be still. If you stop, so does the world. It stops because you do. We are always looking for something that relieves us from the responsibility of the moment — that takes us away from the embarrassment of living. Be still, contain yourself, and this embarrassment will turn into freedom and responsibility.

We need only one man or woman in a room who is aware to transform the others. He has only to continue to live his state of being — to contain it. Who are afraid stops being. You have to have such strength to participate without really participating. It is interacting without belonging — the “non-participation”.

People do not act

They actually believe to be what they are — the role they are playing — teacher, husband, mother, businessman… this belief destroys men. Instead, if you are detached you do not worry. Fearlessness transforms fear — it is contagious. It is so powerful that it makes you disappear from others’ eyes. You are one with your surroundings, and as such, integrity does not stand out in them but contains them. You are there to sublimate them and yourself.

But we don’t want to disappear from mortal eyes. It is too much responsibility. We want to participate in the false lives and deaths around us because we want to be the same. After all, in this sameness, we feel protected. Having a personal and individual destiny frightens us. We are afraid to know what we really are because we eliminate the myth of what we are not.

Is there anyone who is not ‘afraid’?

He will take the lead in every situation. It is not what he has accomplished or the role he plays that allows him to do this, but his unbending intention. His intentionality comprehends everyone and everything around him. He is like a runner-focused on a point ahead who swallows everything in his path …

In unconsciousness, we are afraid, but if we are aware, we cannot be afraid. Intent eliminates fear. It puts you beyond your limits and into a new realm of being — as you eliminate the distance between yourself and your goal, you dwell in a state of timelessness. Alessandro Magno guided his troops not because he was such a great warrior, but because his great intent places him in a state of timelessness and fearlessness, in which he produced fearlessness in himself and those around him.

Just one fearless person moves mountains

In every moment you should look at yourself — examine yourself without losing a second. Try to get closer — to know more. If we look over the past, we see that we are a result of many characters who fight each other inside us. Tranquility and serenity are strong powers — if they arrive at an unprepared person, it is a terrible death. When we go into the world it is to gather what we have already sown, and if we have observed ourselves, stopped, and stayed with ourselves inside thus harmonizing the combating elements, we will find harmony and tranquility outside as well.

If you are whole and total, you are not only one of the characters in the scene you project before you, but all of them. When you go into a bank, you are not only the client, but the investor, and proprietor of the institution, and when you are in battle you are both the offender and the offended…the winner and the won.

Jesus spoke of the shepherd and the lost sheep

When one sheep was lost, he did not rest until he had regained it in the fold. It is an allegory of integrity and a model of conduct for every man. As soon as you distance from yourself and lose your integrity, you must do everything to regain it — to restore the ‘flock’, and the kingdom. When you are total then there is no space to receive, you can only emanate what you are and continue to guide yourself and those around you.

In this integrity, no part dares break away. This is the solution — the ‘answer’ you look for when you are in a state of uncertainty and confusion. When you are confused, you have confounded yourself with the world around you, losing your integrity and your inner and so outer distinction. The feeling of confusion or uncertainty is merely a warning to return to yourself. You have nothing you have to decide or discover — you have only to be present and your certainty will return. Allow it to happen. Let it be.

Thoughts are ’thick’

They are composed of a slow, heavy matter whose substance traps us in its confounding mires. Like the Baron of Munchausen’s quagmire of thought. While he found himself sinking in it, he futilely attempted to pull himself out by pulling himself up by his wig.

The only real evil is unconsciousness. If you can be aware of your own thoughts and state of being, you can see yourself and the whole world from above. From this vantage point, you can see the thoughts and sensations of everyone…but we like to remain where we are — flying below the clouds, away from the light of the sun and hiding among the shadows, mingling our breath with the sweat of the earth, losing ourselves in our own creation…in time.

Time is the result of what happens in the absence of time — Every one of us has trapped himself in a corner of existence, recreating for ourselves each problem as soon as it is solved for us in fear of going ahead — of being exposed.

Win it before it happens!

Victory belongs to your inner movement and intent. Do not wait for a problem to happen to take action, but be aware and alive inside; constantly remembering your integrity. Do everything you have to do, but with attention and you will see you never encounter a ‘problem’ you do not recognize and cannot resolve.

Your vision is your intent

Veda speaks about ‘real doing’ as being in vision. If you could only see your vision, you would understand why you find yourself where you are. The world is such because you are such! What you are in any given moment is manifested immediately in your surroundings — you do not have to change anything or throw anything away — only be aware of your vision. Adopt a ‘right negative attitude’, and learn to correct yourself. In the ancient Schools, there were characters appointed solely for the task of criticizing others. Their job was to point out unfailingly and relentlessly the faults and ‘errors’ of those around them. Faults are only gaps in our integrity. If criticism is conscious, it is not harmful, but constructive. To be unique you have to learn to criticize yourself consciously- to contain your own faults and so contain others.

Do not wait until ‘tomorrow’ to begin putting the pieces together

We live in a precarious state — in the hands of chance. Awareness of this state sets you free. There is no missing link for you to gain to resolve your inner puzzle. You have everything already. Do not wait until tomorrow, because ‘tomorrow’ never comes — it is always Now!

What do you need to do now, you should ask yourself, and then do it! In ‘Now’ is all the possibility of doing. Why should a ‘tomorrow’ exist that causes us pain? The lower you go within yourself, the more there is suffering. The real evolution comes in freeing ourselves from this pain — stop — observe it now, and be free. Only you alone can do it at this moment. You do not have to eliminate doubt, but only see it to regain your certainty. In timelessness you are free from everything — you govern past, present and future because they are all now with you. In timelessness, you govern yourself and others.
